“There's protein and then there's protein.

+ Fuels energy metabolism and reduces fatigue with a potent methylated B-vitamin complex that supports everyday endurance from morning meetings to evening workouts.
+ Delivers antioxidant and mineral support through functional botanicals - Cacao, Beetroot, Carob, and Cinnamon - offering both phytonutrient richness and a naturally indulgent flavour."
We chose beef protein isolate because it’s a gentler, more ancestral-aligned alternative to protein sources that many people struggle to digest. Sustainably sourced from grass-fed cows, it naturally provides a complete amino acid profile. Its slower digestion helps support longer-lasting satiety and steadier energy, and its excellent bioavailability means the body can absorb and utilise these amino acids efficiently. To support digestion even further, we’ve included Actazin® green kiwifruit, a natural enzyme that helps the body break down protein smoothly while supporting gut comfort.
Organ meats are among the most nutrient-dense foods available, celebrated throughout ancestral food traditions yet often missing from modern diets. Liver and kidney offer a wealth of micronutrients - including folate, vitamin A, B vitamins, iron, magnesium and zinc - at levels that muscle meat alone cannot provide. Including freeze-dried liver and kidney, from grass-fed Irish cows, allows us to reconnect with this long-lost element of heritage nutrition in a way that honours the whole animal and reduces waste, while still keeping the flavour rich, smooth and inviting. It’s an accessible way to bring organ meats back into daily life, without any compromise on taste or texture.
Yes. Protein is a daily essential for every body. As a macronutrient, it supports growth and repair, immune health, hormone and enzyme production and bone strength. Brave Ancestral Protein isn’t designed as a high-protein gym supplement or a meal replacement. Instead, it’s a nourishing daily top-up that supports whole-body vitality, whether you're working out or simply moving through everyday life. Beyond the complete protein, each serving brings collagen peptides for tissue support, nutrient-dense organ meats for deep ancestral nourishment, Actazin® green kiwifruit to support protein digestion, a methylated B-complex to help reduce tiredness and maintain energy levels, and botanicals like Cacao, Beetroot and Cinnamon for natural polyphenols and supportive plant compounds. It’s designed to elevate your baseline, not just your workout.
Brave Ancestral Protein has a rich, velvety taste similar to Cacao + Collagen. The flavour comes from cacao, carob and beetroot, with a gentle natural sweetness from cinnamon and coconut sugar nectar, rounded off with a subtle mineral note from pink Himalayan salt. It’s earthy, chocolatey and deeply satisfying.
Absolutely. Brave Ancestral Protein sits comfortably alongside the rest of the Ancient + Brave range. Each serving contains 2 g of True Collagen, and we typically recommend 5-10 g per day for meaningful joint, skin and connective tissue support - so many people like to pair it with True Collagen or Wild Collagen, especially in a smoothie, coffee or morning ritual. It also works well alongside True Creatine+ or any of your existing daily blends.
Yes, it can be used in baked recipes, warm oats and hot drinks. The only thing to keep in mind is that Actazin®’s natural enzyme activity is sensitive to heat, so baking will reduce its digestive enzyme benefit. You'll still receive the protein, fibre and micronutrients, but for the full digestive effect you might prefer to stir it into warm foods after cooking.
Brave Ancestral Protein is best enjoyed during the day, and avoided in the late evening due to the vitamin B12 which can disrupt sleep for some. It can be added to oats, smoothies, yoghurt or simply enjoyed with milk or water.
As with all supplements, we recommend speaking to your doctor or midwife before introducing anything new during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Yes. Brave Ancestral Protein is designed to be gentle on digestion. It uses beef protein isolate, which is easier to tolerate than whey or other protein sources because it’s free from common dairy proteins that can cause bloating or discomfort.
We have also added Actazin®, a green kiwi fruit powder, which naturally contains digestive enzymes which support comfortable digestion by helping to break down proteins.
Please note - individual responses can vary. if you have a sensitive digestive system, it’s best to start with a smaller serving and increase gradually when introducing any new food or supplement. If you have a medical condition or specific health concerns, consult your healthcare practitioner before use.

"I hadn't touched protein powder in years — always put off by the unnatural ingredients in most brands. This one's been a genuine game-changer, and the benefits I've noticed have been incredible."
"I have given this 5 stars because if you're a chocolate lover, then this actually tastes pretty damm good! However, it's a bit too much for me as I'd prefer to be able to mix mine with fruit juice. So I would prefer if it was either tasteless, or a more neutral flavour. Currently I'm taking their True Collagen, and on days I train, their creatine. In around three months I'll see where it takes me, results-wise :-)"
"I absolutely love it, but I wouldn’t just have it with water. I would definitely have it with milk or milk and water. That’s what I do. Add things to it but I think my skin looks a lot better from it. I like taking it. I do find it a bit expensive but worth it. I’m still thinking about getting it once a month. seeing if I can afford it. 😄"
"I love the taste and currently enjoying it as a cold/iced drink. I’ve not been taking it long enough to yet know the benefits. It doesn’t dissolve easily in cold water through; much easier in hot water/milk."
"Seems to fit into my routine well with no ill effects. Previously with other protein powder I would suffer from bloating but not with this one. Taste wise I’d maybe prefer a vanilla flavour rather than chocolate but happy to continue as I love the benefits of the powder to supplement my diet on gym days especially."
"I love the taste and how easy it is to use. I startred slow and introduced a little more till i got to 2 scoops per day. i have one morning, and one after training in the late afternoon. unfortunately i am struggling with digestion, i have IBS. I am hoping that this will settle down, as my body gets used to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."
"The protein powder has a nice texture. At first I was surprised how it has zero sweetness unlike other proteins, but on the days when I didn't want anything sweet I appreciated this protein powder even more (if you have a sweet tooth, can always add banana or dates to it). The added unexpected ingredients (liver and kidney powder) is a great touch for extra nutrition without any need of forcing yourself to eat something, what one's doesn't like."
"I love the (fairly unconventional) flavour and am seeing excellent benefits after changing from my usual protein powder that was just rammed full of things the body doesn’t need. Zero bloating and so far no negatives."
"I'm 43yrs and have tried many protein powders over the years, this is on another level. I'm only commenting from a taste POV at the moment as it's too early to talk about the benefits but it's honestly so good. It's really easy to consume as it has such a natural and organic taste of cacao and cinnamon. You can tell you are consuming a really good quality and wholesome product. I add it to my overnight oats and they are delicious!"
"Was a bit unsure of this initially given the ingredients, but it’s really chocolatey and delicious! It’s pricey but you get what you pay for, I just ration it to gruelling work days making it both affordable and nourishing. Highly recommended."
