A great alternative to traditional pancakes, this nourishing protein pancake recipe is easy to make at home and uses Brave Ancestral Protein. Perfect for pancake day or whenever you’re craving a sustaining pancake snack.

Ingredients:
(makes 4 pancakes)
+ 1 and a half banana
+ 2 tbsp self-raising flour
+ 1 x egg
+ A splash of milk (30ml)
+ A small amount of butter
For the topping, you will need:
+ A handful of berries (fresh or frozen)
+ 1 x tbsp Greek yoghurt
+ 1 x scoop of True Collagen
Method:
Prepare your protein pancake batter in just 4 easy steps.
+Step 1: Mash the bananas in a bowl with a fork until smooth. Then, add the egg and mix well
+ Step 2: Next, stir in 30 g of Brave Ancestral Protein using your Ancestral Protein Scoop to get the perfect pour
+ Step 3: Once the protein has been fully combined, add the self-raising flour and mix to form a thick batter
+ Step 4: Finally, pour in a splash of milk and whisk the mixture until light and smooth
Nutritionist tips for cooking the perfect protein pancake
Add the heat: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and melt a small knob of butter
Centre your mix: Spoon 3 tablespoons of the pancake mixture into the centre of the pan
Go for gold: Cook until small bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook for another couple of minutes until golden on both sides

To make a protein-rich pancake topping, mix the Greek yoghurt in a bowl with True Collagen, then stack your pancakes and top with your favourite fruit, and a little more yoghurt.
