Chickpea Protein
One of the main ingredients found in all three of our vegan Collagyn range is a new chickpea protein powder that’s incredibly nutritious.
When it comes to vegan and plant-based nutrition, chickpeas provide a wide range of amnio acids including essential amino acids which are often hard to find on a predominately plant diet.
With plant-based nutrition in mind, we combine this chickpea protein powder with brown rice and pea protein powders to provide a more comprehensive range of amino acids.
This chickpea protein provides a milky and creamy in texture to our vegan Collagyn blends and you can find this innovative protein powder in our Radiant Collagyn.
Collagen Specific Amino Acids
Collagen is an important structural protein providing strength and integrity to numerous body tissues including skin, bones, cartilage, blood vessel walls, ligaments and tendons.
There are many different types of collagen, all formed around 17 different amino acids. The main compositon of collagen is formed of five key amino acids: glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, arginine, and alanine. These amino acids are essential for collagen’s strength and flexibility.
We’ve formulated our Radiant Collagyn with vegan and naturally fermented forms of these key amino acids.
Beetroot
Beetroot offers numerous benefits for skin health, thanks to its rich antioxidant content and ability to support healthy circulation. By encouraging nutrient delivery to the skin, beetroot helps promote a naturally radiant complexion.
Additionally, beetroot is high in vitamins and minerals that help detoxify the skin and enhance its elasticity. We use an intensely delicious organic beetroot powder that adds depth, richness, and a velvety texture, making it an excellent addition to our formulation, for nourishing the skin.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is essential for skin health as it supports collagen production, improving skin elasticity and firmness. Its antioxidant properties also help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, promoting a brighter complexion.
Radiant Collagyn contains a buffered form of vitamin C called magnesium ascorbate which has far superior absorption than standard ascorbic acid.
Rosehip Berry Powder
Long used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and an ancient herb in the British isles, skin experts have also been proclaiming the beauty benefits of this berry for decades.
Rosehips are naturally a great source of vitamin C, which is why this berry has a reputation for nurturing your skin from within.

Haskap Berry

Zinc Citrate

Can I take Radiant Collagyn when taking other vitamin and mineral-based supplements?
Radiant Collagyn contains 189 mg Vitamin C, 25 ug Vitamin D 450ug Biotin, 12mg Zinc and 73g Choline. These are all safe and effective vitamins at higher doses, but we would always recommend checking with your GP if you are prescribed supplements, to ensure it is a suitable addition to your diet.
Is vegan collagen as effective as animal based collagen?
Collagen exists naturally in animals, as a very large complex molecule constructed from lots of long chains of polypeptides formed from different sequences of amino acids. The collagen molecule itself is far too big to be absorbed across the gut wall, so it needs to be broken down during digestion into single amino acids, or much smaller units called peptides, to be easily absorbed into the body. The long amino acid chains are mainly formed from just 5 key amnio acids – glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, arginine and alanine. Instead of using animal derived hydrolysed collagen peptides, our vegan Collagyn contains generous amounts of all 5 of these amino acids, from vegan and fermented sources, alongside vitamin C a key cofactor for the enzymes which build new collagen molecules - making the mechanism of action slightly different to animal dervired collagen but instead providing the body with the tools it needs.
Can I take Radiant Collagyn if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend you always consult with your doctor or midwife about the supplements you take during your pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding - seeing as they know your personal health history, they are best placed to give you the green light on nutritional changes. It can be tricky to talk about whether a product is safe to use during pregnancy/ breastfeeding, as ethical challenges around research in pregnant people means there are often little to no studies available in this area. Most ingredients in Radiant Collagyn are deemed safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, there are a few that we would recommend consulting with your GP or midwife about, due to limited research on their interactions. These include L-Glycine, L-Alanine, Chicory Root Inulin, MCT Oil Powder and Rosehip Berry Powder.
