1 Min read

We’re proud to introduce Sisters of Defiance, a new podcast hosted by Anita Rani and nourished by Ancient + Brave.

Through raw conversations and brave stories, the series shines a light on women whose names you know, but whose real stories are rarely told. Their journeys have challenged expectations, reshaped culture and redefined what’s possible. Each episode explores the untold realities behind success, resilience and modern womanhood.

Each week, Anita is joined by Ancient + Brave's Dr Jenna Macciochi and Jo Woodhurst, in The Last Offering, drawing on ancestral wisdom to explore the everyday rituals and practices that can enable all of us to live a truly brave life.

Join us wherever you find your podcasts over the next 10 weeks as we introduce you to some of the most courageous, groundbreaking women of our time. Discover our Sisters of Defiance on YouTube

This week’s sister of defiance is… Clare Waight Keller

This week, Anita sits down with Clare Waight Keller, the global creative director who has shaped fashion on both sides of the Atlantic and designed one of the most talked-about royal wedding dresses of recent times. They talk about her fiercely independent upbringing and bold move to New York at twenty, the defiance of leaving luxury for accessible "lifewear," the honour and weight of being a role model in Japan's male-dominated business culture, and her belief in integrating masculine and feminine energies as a path to wholeness.

Last offering - The Mental Load

In this Last Offering, Jo and Jenna explore the mental load — the invisible weight of holding everything together that so many women carry until they hit breaking point, without registering the cost. They name what chronic stress does when it can't switch off: the constant bracing, the hypervigilance, the narrowed focus that leaves little room for joy. The turn is hopeful — many women don't realise they're living this way until a conversation names it, and there's real power in finding the people you can finally exhale with.
