Why use protein for breakfast?
Found in both plant and animal sources, protein is the body’s building block for strength and recovery. Sources rich in protein include eggs, beans, chickpeas, tofu, lean meat, fish and protein powders.
A rich source of amino acids, protein supports almost every cellular function, playing a vital role in everything from digestion to our mood and even our immunity.
Better still, this powerhouse nutrient supports steady energy by promoting satiety and blood sugar stability, making it the perfect ingredient for your first meal of the day.
Making protein part of your breakfast:
-
Supports sustained energy and focus through improved satiety and glycaemic control
-
Helps stabilise blood sugar, avoiding sugar crashes
-
Keep you feeling fuller for longer
-
Delivers essential amino acids, aiding workouts and muscle repair
Introducing Brave Ancestral Protein: Your daily protein top-up
While the importance of protein has long been recognised, the reality is that many of us are simply not getting enough of it.
That’s one reason why we created Brave Ancestral Protein, Ancient + Brave’s cocoa flavoured protein powder, your daily top-up of dietary protein.
Inspired by ancestral diets, and so much more than a protein powder, this nutrient-dense, daily protein top-up was built to support strength and vitality for the life you live.
Thoughtfully crafted to support energy metabolism and help you feel less fatigued, as part of a balanced diet, it uses complete protein from grass-fed cows. These work alongside functional botanicals, methylated B vitamins and our signature True Collagen Peptides - nourishing whole-body health as they support endurance from your morning workout through to the end of your working day.
And you don’t need to worry about this breakfast protein powder irritating an empty stomach. We took extra care to ensure it is ever-so gentle on sensitive stomachs, adding Actazin® - natural enzymes from green kiwifruit to aid protein absorption and support comfortable digestion.
3 easy protein breakfast recipes to power your morning
Are you looking for high-protein breakfast ideas? Good high-protein breakfasts include protein smoothies and oat-based meals, such as porridge or overnight oats enhanced with protein powder.
To help you build a better breakfast, our expert in-house nutritionists have created three easy protein-rich breakfast recipes. You can make each breakfast with a 30g serving of Brave Ancestral Protein, which contains 22g total protein and 15g complete protein from beef isolate.
“As more people begin to understand the real benefits of protein, finding simple ways to top up our day has become essential. Protein powders can be a powerful tool for busy lives, but not all proteins are created equal. When they’re made with high-quality protein, functional ingredients, and whole foods the body recognises, that’s a quick, nourishing daily win we can get behind” Jo Woodhurst, Director of Nutrition at Ancient + Brave.
