Glowing radiance
Dry, dehydrated skin? It’s a common concern that often feels persistent, no matter how many ‘miracle’ creams we try.
The key to lasting hydration starts from within. Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, are integrated into the cell membranes of your skin’s outer layer, forming a protective barrier that locks in moisture. The result? Plumper, more youthful-looking skin.
Omega-7 goes deeper, working to restore the skin’s lipid layers, ensuring moisture is evenly distributed and retained for long-lasting hydration.
This powerful combination not only enhances your skin’s appearance but also improves its function, leaving it looking and feeling nourished.
A calmer complexion
Inflammation is the roof of many skin concerns, from acne and rosacea to general redness and irritation. All of which can impact our confidence .
The powerful anti-inflammatory properties of omega-3 helps to calm the skin by reducing the production of inflammatory molecules known as cytokines. This not only soothes irritation but has also been shown to promote faster healing of blemishes and reduces the risk of scarring.
Omega-7 further complements this process by strengthening the skin’s natural defenses, making it more resilient to external irritants. Together, these fatty acids work to create a calmer, more balanced complexion that’s less prone to flare-ups.

The collagen connection
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, providing the structural support that keeps skin firm and plump. As we age, collagen production naturally declines, which is why True, Wild or Radiant Collagyn is a foundational element of your daily wellness ritual.
True Omegas+ compliments this ritual, supporting collagen synthesis through the combined actions of omega-3 and omega-7. Omega-7, in particular, stimulates the production of new collagen fibres while protecting existing ones from oxidative damage. Meanwhile, omega-3 ensures that the skin’s environment remains hydrated and nourished, providing the ideal conditions for collagen to thrive. This dual approach helps to maintain skin’s elasticity and firmness, contributing to a smoother, more youthful appearance over time.
Texture and tone
Omega-3’s anti-inflammatory properties can help to reduce redness and blotchiness, creating a more uniform complexion. At the same time, omega-7 supports cellular regeneration, helping to fade discolouration and promote a healthy glow.
The combination of these two fatty acids can enhance the skin’s overall texture by repairing damage to the epidermis and smoothing out those stubborn rough patches.

Protect and shine
Modern life exposes our skin to a myriad of stressors, from pollution and UV radiation to blue light emitted by screens. These environmental aggressors generate free radicals, which can damage skin cells and accelerate the aging process.
True Omegas+ provides a robust defense against these threats by delivering powerful antioxidants that help to neutralise free radicals before they can cause harm.
The omega-3 fatty acids in True Omegas+ are particularly effective at reducing oxidative stress. EPA may also work to block the release of enzymes caused by sun damage.
Omega-7’s protective properties can shield the skin from external damage.
This dual action helps to keep skin youthful and maintain the skin’s natural radiance and vitality.

Studies
-
In one small study, women who consumed around half a teaspoon (2.5 ml) of omega-3-rich flaxseed oil daily experienced a 39% increase in skin hydration after 12 weeks. Their skin was also less rough and sensitive than that of those in a placebo group (1)
-
Studies have shown that supplementing with omega 3 can improve acne (2)
-
Studies have shown that supplementing with a combination of DHA and EPA may reduce the skin’s sensitivity to UV rays (3)
-
A study explored how omega-7 fatty acids might help protect skin from aging. Skin aging is partly caused by oxidative stress, which produces harmful molecules called ROS that trigger inflammation and break down collagen. Omega-7 was found to activate a protein called SIRT1, which helps reduce inflammation and protect collagen. It also blocked the activity of another protein (MMP-1) that breaks down collagen during stress. These findings suggest omega-7 might support skin health and slow down aging by promoting collagen regeneration and reducing damage caused by oxidative stress (4).

A 2023 study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of omega-7 in improving skin barrier, elasticity and wrinkle formation in adult women. 90 participants received either omega-7 or a placebo for 12 weeks. Results showed that omega-7 is an effective intervention for restoring skin-barrier function and may effectively improve skin elasticity and wrinkle formation (5).
