What types of collagen do you offer?

We offer a collagen source for every dietary preference and ‘type’- True Collagen, Wild Collagen, Noble Collagen and Radiant Collagyn.

Our True Collagen provides easily digestible, highly absorbable and clinically researched Type-I hydrolysed bovine collagen peptides.

Our Wild Collagen also provides easily digestible, highly bioavailable Type-I hydrolysed marine collagen peptides.

Noble Collagen features Type II collagen, a targeted ingredient found specifically in cartilage. It differs structurally from Type I as it is not hydrolysed but undenatured, exerting a distinct mechanism of action by positively signalling the immune system to regenerate joint cartilage.

Our innovative vegan Radiant Collagyn provides a great alternative for plant-based diets. If you are in the UK please allow between 3-5 working days for delivery from the date of your order. Usually delivery is a lot quicker than this but can be delayed during busy periods or orders placed over weekend.

What are hydrolysed peptides?

Our True Collagen contains hydrolysed collagen peptides which are a more available and absorbable form of amino acids, making it easy for our body to utilise. Collagen exists in nature as a very large, complex molecule constructed from lots of long chains of polypeptides. The collagen molecule itself is far too big to be absorbed across the gut wall, so it needs to be broken down during digestion into smaller chains called peptides. Once absorbed, these peptides are available to contribute to collagen renewal within bones, skin and connective tissue. ‘Hyrdolysed’ simply means ‘unchaining’ the long protein strands into smaller ‘peptides’ so we can absorb them more readily. This process is like having them ‘predigested’, making them more bioactive so we can take them up and absorb them easily to build important tissues.

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides.

These are a group of saturated fats which contain very small molecules, making them easily digestible, quickly absorbed and efficiently converted into a source of fuel that is readily available for cells to convert into energy. Why don’t your True and Wild Collagen contain vitamin C?

Vitamin C plays a vital role in collagen formation and renewal in the body. We haven’t included vitamin C in our True Collagen or Wild Collagen because these two nutrients don’t need to be consumed at exactly the same time.

The focus of our products is to help keep up a good supply of collagen in the body. These products are a direct source of highly absorbable hydrolysed collagen peptides. We don’t use vitamin C in them because it is not necessary for the focus of the product, and we wanted to provide a completely pure source of collagen to promote optimal daily wellbeing, the perfect, seamless addition to anyone's daily ritual.
It’s a good idea to make sure you’re getting plenty of vitamin C in your diet, either by increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables you eat or by taking a supplement, because vitamin C is a cofactor in collagen synthesis.

What is the difference between True, Wild and Noble Collagen?

Type I collagen is the most abundant type in our bodies, comprising 90% of your body’s total collagen. True and Wild Collagen contain 100% pure bioactive type I collagen peptides from bovine and marine sources respectively. These short type I collagen peptide chains act as signalling molecules to stimulate fibroblast activity, which is crucial for the synthesis of new collagen throughout the body.

Is your True Collagen sustainably sourced?

Many collagen supplements on the market use South American collagen which is contributing to deforestation.

Our True Collagen is derived from cattle in the EU and is manufactured in the EU. The collagen peptides are produced from raw materials that are exclusively sourced and originate from healthy animals. The cows have been raised naturally and follow a predominantly grass-fed diet.

Collagen peptides are a natural by-product of the food industry, contributing to the whole use of the bovine and recapturing what would otherwise be ‘waste’ as a resource to manufacture new products. This therefore gives sustainable added value to farmers within the EU and contributes to a circular economy.

What is the difference between marine and bovine collagen?

There are a few key differences between marine and bovine collagen linked in our journal article here.

Ultimately, marine collagen and bovine collagen are equally effective - both providing 100% hydrolysed type I collagen peptides. One is not better than the other, it’s more a matter of dietary preference. As long as the quality of the supplement is high then its source doesn’t really affect the benefits you receive.
