What is Noble Collagen?

Noble Collagen is the latest innovation from Ancient and Brave, crafted to provide targeted support for your joints. This specialised formula features Type II Collagen, specifically targeted to nourish and support joint function.  To further enhance the efficacy of Type II Collagen, we've enriched it with the essential micronutrients vitamin C and manganese, crucial for collagen synthesis and the overall integrity of our joints including bones, tendons and ligaments. Additionally, we’ve included Boswellia serrata, a beautiful botanical with anti-inflammatory benefits and a long history of use for rheumatic pain.

How is Noble Collagen different from True and Wild Collagen?

Noble Collagen stands out from True and Wild Collagen in several ways. Unlike our True and Wild products, which feature 100% Type I hydrolysed collagen peptides, Noble Collagen is uniquely formulated with Type II collagen.

Type I collagen is the most abundant type in our bodies, comprising 90% of your body’s total collagen. True and Wild Collagen contain 100% pure bioactive type I collagen peptides from bovine and marine sources respectively.  These short type I collagen peptide chains act as signalling molecules to stimulate fibroblast activity, which is crucial for the synthesis of new collagen throughout the body.

Type II collagen works differently from Type I collagen.  It is not in the form of peptides but is undenatured, also known as native collagen. This means it retains its original triple-helix structure and has a different mechanism of action from type I collagen peptides. It interacts with the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) to promote a regulating immune response to worn-out collagen fragments in the cartilage of joints, reducing inflammation and pain associated with ageing joints.

The type II collagen in Noble is enhanced with carefully selected synergistic ingredients to maximise benefits for joint health. We’ve included Vitamin C and manganese, both essential for collagen synthesis and critical to maintaining the structural integrity of joints, encompassing bones, tendons, and ligaments. Additionally, Noble Collagen is enriched with Boswellia serrata, a powerful botanical celebrated for its anti-inflammatory properties and traditional use in alleviating rheumatic pain. This thoughtful combination ensures that Noble Collagen offers targeted support for your joint health, helping you maintain flexibility and comfort.

Think of Type I collagen as your whole body health ally and Type II collagen is the targeted guardian of your joints, maintaining mobility and comfort to help you move.  Why choose between Type I and Type II collagen when your body benefits from both? Supplementing with Type I collagen supports skin, hair, nails, bones, and gut health. On the other hand, Type II collagen provides targeted joint health support relieving pain, and enhancing mobility. Together, they provide comprehensive benefits for whole-body health.

Can I take Noble Collagen alongside True or Wild Collagen?

Yes, you can take Noble Collagen with True or Wild Collagen, and we recommend combining them. Type I collagen benefits your skin, hair, nails, bones, and gut, while Type II focuses on joint health, easing pain, and improving mobility. Using both provides comprehensive benefits to keep you feeling great and moving well.

Do I need to take less True or Wild Collagen if taking Noble?

No, you don’t need to take less True or Wild if taking NobleTrue and Wild contain type I hydrolysed collagen peptides.  Type I collagen is the most abundant collagen in the body and can be found in hair, skin, nails, bones, muscle, gut and all out connective tissues. Noble collagen contains type II collagen which is enriched in the cartilage of our joints. Type II collagen works differently to Type I.

Noble Collagen isn't meant to substitute our True or Wild Collagen but to enhance it. While True or Wild Collagen promotes general whole-body health, Noble Collagen specifically aids joint health, improving mobility and movement. Combined, they deliver holistic and synergistic benefits.

How do you use Noble Collagen?

For optimal benefits, we recommend taking one capsule of Noble Collagen each day, ideally with a meal. Combine the synergistic joint supporting formula of Noble Collagen with True or Wild Collagen for whole-body health and overall well-being.

What are the main benefits of taking Noble Collagen?

The formula in Noble Collagen supports strong, mobile and healthy joints.  It includes vitamin C and manganese supporting the synthesis of collagen within the body. Vitamin C is a co-factor in collagen synthesis, helping to ensure the formation of stable collagen fibres, while manganese is essential for the production of collagen and for the activation of enzymes that are important in the formation of cartilage.

Type II collagen is specifically beneficial for cartilage health. This type of collagen helps maintain the integrity and resilience of cartilage, the tissue that protects your joints. Regular supplementation can aid in maintaining joint flexibility and comfort, especially beneficial for individuals experiencing joint stiffness or discomfort.

Where does type II collagen come from?

In our bodies type II collagen makes up 95% of cartilage — the strong and flexible connective tissue that protects your joints and reduces friction between bones when you move. Noble Collagen contains type II collagen from the cartilage of sustainably sourced chicken sternum.

Can I open the capsule and mix it with True or Wild Collagen?

We advise against opening the capsule, as doing so could interfere with the precise delivery of the product to the appropriate section of the gut, where it is optimally absorbed and functions most effectively. The capsule's design ensures that the active ingredients are released at the right time and place within your digestive system, maintaining the integrity and efficacy of the formulation. This controlled release is crucial for achieving the desired health benefits.

Why is Noble Collagen a capsule?

Derived from sustainably sourced chicken sternum, Type II collagen works at much lower doses than Type I. It delivers clinically proven benefits with just 40 milligrams—a fraction of the 5-10 grams typically required for Type I collagen found in True and Wild Collagen. This low-dose efficiency is a key reason for our choice to use encapsulation. Encapsulation not only conceals the natural, less palatable taste of Type II collagen but also ensures optimal delivery to the absorption sites in the gut. Moreover, this method allows us to combine Type II collagen with complementary nutrients—vitamin C, manganese, and Boswellia serrata—further boosting its effectiveness and enhancing joint health benefits.

Why don't you combine Type II collagen in Noble with True or Wild Collagen?

Why didn't we incorporate Type II collagen into our existing True or Wild Collagen products? By developing Noble Collagen as a separate product, we ensure that our customers have the freedom to select the option that best aligns with their health needs and dietary limitations, without any compromise. Taking Type II collagen as a capsule allows for the most effective delivery of the active ingredients, maximising their benefits.

Can I take it if pregnant/breastfeeding?

Although Noble Collagen is formulated to support joint health effectively, it contains Boswellia serrata, an ingredient whose effects have not been extensively studied in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Safety during these critical periods remains our utmost priority, and without comprehensive research, we advise caution.

In Summary,

We developed Noble Collagen from our desire to continue enjoying the activities that fill our lives with joy and purpose. Our commitment is to help us all maintain the joys of movement for many years to come, ensuring each day is lived to its fullest potential. I invite you to join me on the journey to healthier joints, adding Noble Collagen to your daily ritual.
